P-01 Omega w/ TFX pro night sights everything else stock $670 out of pocket or trade in my Full sized Sig P320 and be out $570 for a Sphinx Alpha Compact. If the gun is meant as a range toy, I would consider steel frame as the extra weight will make the gun more enjoyable to shoot. For a carry gun, I would recommend the alloy frame. P-01s can be tough to find sometimes, and the steel frame ones are more uncommon yet from what I remember when I was looking for mine.I recently got the omega, dual decockers and they’re the newer style, different trigger, and mine has night sights not sure if p01 uses same. Known issues are the firing pin retaining pin- dry firing will crush them and the trigger return spring will break. Cajun has parts that will upgrade these. The general wisdom seems to be that the P-01 is more of a duty gun, while the PCR is more of a private carry piece.I much prefer to decocker on the P-01 (back rotates down, clockwise) over the P-01 Omega (front rotates down, counterclockwise). The thumb shelf on the P-01 is more horizontal while the Omega is much more angled. It's a personal preference. Others can give you there opinions on the stock triggers and upgraded trigger options.Here's an Album showing some comparisons with a Beretta 92c, P30, p239, and P01. The components of the P-01/P-06 are completely interchangable with every other P-01/P-06, with no individual fitting required. This required some very careful re-design so that the reliability and accuracy were not impaired.Deference in the trigger mechanism. Omega is able to be decocker and manually safety engaged. P-01 standard is decocker only. The trigger in the standard P01 can be made much nicer and it's far easier to get it there. The omega is a fine platform and the trigger can also be made nice, just takes more work. P01 with trigger work done by CZC ...The wider slide on the P-07 looks better with full size red dots IMO. It's also slightly taller than the P-01 slide, so it's easier to get a purchase on it for slide manipulation.
